- Purchased exclusively for Waitrose from 65 farms individually known to Waitrose - and indeed Waitrose and the farmers do have a close working relationship and meet regularly;
- Bought at the fairest milk price - Waitrose farmers receive a significant premium for their milk;
- Produced using sustainable practices to protect and enhance the environment and countryside
- Management on the farms ensures that the highest levels of care for animal welfare are taken.

The dairy farmers supplying essential Waitrose Milk are all dedicated to supplying top quality milk for Waitrose customers - produced through efficient management on farm with high standards of care for their cows and the countryside.
The WildCare Scheme is fully supported by the Waitrose dairy farmers. It complements and builds upon the good work many of the farmers already had in place on their farms to protect and encourage wildlife. Most of the farmers have already exceeded the minimum wildlife habitat level required by the WildCare Scheme - eg 10% of the dairy farm area - and are now working hard to deliver even greater improvements in the biodiversity of their farms.
