Waitrose Branch Partners on Farm

During June and July Waitrose branch partners were invited to 3 of the farms supplying Select Farm Milk - in order to learn more about their milk and the WildCare Scheme.

The farms visited were the Liddiards in Wiltshire, the Farrants in Oxfordshire and the Pearsons in Dorset. During the farm tours the topics covered included how milk is produced, the high level of care provided to the cows and the countryside, and why Select Farm Milk is so special. Hard copies of the farms' WildCare FWAPs (Farm Wildlife Action Plans) were available to see, allowing the branch partners to fully appreciate the amount of detail undertaken .

The visits proved to be a great success. Over 70 branches were represented and further visits are planned for the future to include more branches.
