Get ahead of the game and prepare your bat detectors, mics and survey equipment ahead of the Spring rush.

As another year draws to a close, for many of us in the ecology & conservation world our attention turns to preparing for another busy season ahead…

And at Wildcare HQ this means our busy Hire, Service & Repair Centre will be helping our customers to do just that.

Furthermore, with guidance from the Bat Conservation Trust and Wildlife Acoustics recommending that we test and service equipment annually, it has become clear the importance of adding this task to the annual to do list.

At Wildcare we can certainly vouch for this and have seen first-hand the issues that can arise when servicing is abandoned for too long, which can be rather costly in the long run.

Meet the service & repair team

But first to proudly introduce our small (but mighty) team behind the scenes, making it all happen!

Sorin - Service & Repairs Engineer & Wildcare’s own in-house technical & electronics whizz!

Arriving at Wildcare 5 years ago, Sorin brought an abundance of electronic and technical knowledge from scientific fields and the military. Since adding Ecology electronics to that list and mastering the inner workings of the vast range of technical equipment that comes through the door at Wildcare, you can be assured your equipment is in excellent hands.

‘I love the variety of projects that come through the Repair Centre doors, no two days are ever the same. Over the years I have grown fond of the units I work on but it’s the tricky jobs that I love the most – something that really gets me scratching my head!’

Emma - Hire & Servicing Coordinator & resident customer services pro.

You’ll find Emma working hard to keep everything organised and our customers happy and in the loop at all times. With a background in customer support and 2 years at Wildcare under her belt, Emma is ready to help at the hub of all things hire, service & repair.

‘This year we have processed over one thousand units for repair and service, so it can get very busy! Keeping on top of everything is tricky, but when you hit the deadlines on time, your customer is happy, and we are confident that we have taken extra care to get everything turned around efficiently and to a high standard, it makes it all worthwhile’
