This battery pack was specifically developed for use with the Song Meter bat recorders when deploying for long periods. It features a 60ah Lithium battery cell giving 6.4v output and will operate the recorder for approx 4 weeks. The unit includes a regulator which effectively means it incorporates the power adaptor for external batteries (product code 2805) saving the cost of this item, and it also shuts the power supply down once the voltage drops below critical, to avoid battery damage. A notification light flashes when the power supply is in operational state. Housed in a tough waterproof storm case and weighs just 6.45kg.

The battery pack connects to the external power socket on the side of the SM2 and has a red flashing light to indicate the state of the battery.  If the light is flashing then the battery is still powering the unit, if it is not then the batteries have been drained to their safe level and have shut off automatically.  In this way the batteries should always remain in a rechargeable state with no permanent damage.

The battery consists of two cells which have to be charged seperately.  From completely flat this will take up to 12 hours so if using just one charger (which comes with the unit) you will need to allow a full 24hrs for charging.  You can halve this time by purchasing an additional charger.  Charging before they are completely flat will greatly reduce the charging time.

The SM2 bat detector can be mounted on the top of the battery pack to keep the bat detector off the ground and away from any sitting water on the ground.

Free delivery is within three working days of the order being placed, although in a lot of cases it can be as soon as next day.

Refunds policy

Your payment will be refunded in full, including basic shipping, once the goods have been returned. However, we may make a deduction from your refund if the value of the goods has been reduced as a result of you handling them more than was necessary. The extent to which a customer can handle the goods is the same as it would be if you were assessing them in a shop – for example goods should be unused and in their original, unopened packaging.
