Large Cavity Bat Roost
Product code: 10625
The Cavity Bat Roost has been developed to suit the increasing demand for habitat products that can be built in to structures at their inception. Build-in habitat products are particularly beneficial because it is almost guaranteed that they will remain useable whilst the structure is still standing.
As its name suggests the Cavity Bat Roost is designed to fit within a standard cavity wall structure with an unobtrusive entrance being formed at the base. It provides a permanent roost for many crevice dwelling species and has multiple roosting and hanging opportunities inside. It is a completely self contained unit and if installed correctly, there is no possibility of the bats gaining access into the cavity or building. It works particularly well with brick face structures, with the entrance slope sitting in place of two bricks and a single skin lintel over the top.
Developed to meet the increasing demand for building-integrated bat boxes. This product takes into account both ecological needs of recognised environmental building schemes such as the Code for Sustainable homes, and the construction needs of statutory building regulations.
- Incorporates into structures using existing face materials
- Supplied as a kit including Lintel and DPM for the cavity tray
- Creates a permanent roost that cannot easily be removed
- Unobtrusive 'letterbox' opening has little impact on the appearance of the building
- Suitable for a wide range of bat species
Dimensions: 42 x 45 x 16 cm.
