Bird Brick House Integrated Sparrow Box - Bespoke Facing
The House Sparrow Integrated Nest Box provides built-in nesting and roosting space for many of the UK’s small to medium-sized bird species. Designed to be incorporated directly into the external wall of a building, it offers a long-term, discreet way to support declining urban bird populations.
This standard nesting box is suitable for house sparrows and members of the tit family. A single entrance hole allows the full internal space to be used for nesting and roosting, while entrance aperture sizes are tailored to the target species to improve uptake and reduce disturbance from larger birds.
Construction & Installation
The box is designed to be quick and easy to build into the outside skin of a building, making it suitable for new builds and renovation projects. It is compatible with standard UK brick sizes, including metric bricks laid at 75 mm courses and most imperial bricks laid at 3" courses.
Brick facings can be supplied to suit stretcher bond, English bond or Flemish quarter bond brickwork. Soldier bond can be accommodated using a modified box, and non-standard brick sizes can be supplied as purpose-made units. Boxes can also be provided unfaced for use in rendered walls or stonework.
The ideal installation height is between 2 and 10 metres above ground level, depending on site conditions and target species.
