These 500 x 500 mm carpet tiles are bitumen backed which means they absorb the natural heat from the sun when placed in the field.
Carpet tiles are often used to compliment other survey refugia such as tins or roofing felt and work best if placed carpet side down so the bitumen backing can absorb the heat from the sun whilst the carpet retains the moisture underneath.
Please note, these are used carpet tiles, so will have soiling/wear marks on them, and colours/type will vary from that shown in the photograph. Reusing carpet tiles creates a positive environmental impact
