With survey season concluding for the year, we would like to remind you of our in-house Service & Repair Centre, which is available for bookings over the next couple of months!

Wildcare are proud to be the only authorised service and repair centre in the UK for Wildlife Acoustics’ range of bat recorders and bioacoustic monitoring products. Our in-house experts can also service & repair Pettersson, Batbox, Magenta and Anabat bat detectors, as well as other electronic equipment including Clulite torches, dataloggers, extension cables, trail cameras and sound recorders!

Please note:  If you are planning to have your bat recorders serviced for the start of the bat season, we do become very busy from January/February onwards.

Here are our top 5 FAQ’s, which might help to answer any queries you have!

Q: It has been a quiet year, do I still need to service my equipment?

A: Just like your car, a yearly MOT of your equipment is highly recommended to ensure it is in optimum condition for the survey season ahead, avoiding unnecessary delays to your projects.

Q: What will the service include?

A: The service will be carried out by our specialist engineer who ensures the units are fulling cleaned and checked, including any necessary updates. Should there be any problems, you will be provided with a diagnosis including tailored advice and recommendations.

Q: How quickly will my equipment be returned?

A: If you send equipment to us early (before the end of November), we promise to get your equipment back to you early in the new year - giving you peace of mind as you plan for the Spring.

Q: What will it cost?

A: A full service will start from £50, depending on the equipment that is being serviced. If you are sending in more than 5 units by 31st November you will receive a 10% discount. (cannot be used in conjunction with other offers).

  1. Is your device still under warranty? If so, contact the manufacturer directly. They will either repair the item themselves or authorise us to do so.
  2. Is your device out of warranty? Don’t worry! We’re here to help. Just contact a member of the team and they will advise you further.
  3. Book it in! Find your device on our Service & Repairs page here, checkout and pay. We will then provide you with instructions to complete your repair!
