The Song Meter Mini 2 Acoustic Lithium-ion Recorder is a compact passive acoustic recorder designed for long-term wildlife monitoring. Using up to x6 lithium-ion batteries, it can achieve deployments of up to 1,330 hours, helping reduce time spent replacing batteries in the field.
The recorder is suitable for recording birds, amphibians, and other wildlife vocalising within the acoustic range. A built-in low-noise omnidirectional microphone captures high-quality recordings, while an optional second acoustic microphone (available to purchase separately) can be added for stereo recording.
The redesigned enclosure features a hinged, lockable design with IP67-rated weather protection, making it suitable for use in a wide range of environmental conditions.

The Song Meter Mini 2 records 16-bit PCM WAV files and supports sample rates from 8kHz to 96kHz. The free companion app allows users to configure recording schedules, settings, and GPS location directly from a Bluetooth-enabled smartphone or tablet.
