The Spypoint FLEX-S is a cellular trail camera designed for long-term wildlife monitoring in locations without mains power. It combines mobile network connectivity with an integrated solar panel, allowing images and video to be transmitted directly to the SPYPOINT app while reducing the need for regular battery changes.
The camera captures still images at up to 36 megapixels and records 1080p video with sound. Images are recorded in full colour during the day and in black and white at night. A fast 0.3 second trigger speed and an infrared detection system help ensure wildlife movement is recorded reliably.
An integrated solar panel charges the internal lithium battery to support extended deployments. When solar charging is insufficient, the camera can also draw power from 8 AA batteries or an external 12 V power source. Additional SPYPOINT battery and solar accessories can be used if required.
The FLEX-S uses dual-SIM LTE connectivity and an optimised antenna to automatically connect to the strongest available network. Photos and videos are transmitted to the SPYPOINT app, where settings can be adjusted remotely. The camera includes a free allowance of photo transmissions per month, with optional subscription plans available for higher usage.
Four capture modes are available: Photo, Video, Time-Lapse and Time-Lapse+. Time-Lapse+ combines interval capture with motion detection, which can be useful when monitoring larger areas. The camera also records GPS location data for use within the app.
Night recording is supported by four infrared LEDs, providing illumination and detection ranges of up to 30 metres. The camera is designed for outdoor use and operates in a wide range of temperatures.
