SITING: The shape of the box is specially designed to be suitable for this particular bird, fitting snugly against a tree trunk with an entrance right next to the bark.
Suitable trees include those with a coarse type of bark, such as oak, alder, poplar, pine, pear, or apple trees. To ensure that the Nest Box fits well against the trunk choose a tree with a diameter of approx. 250 – 300 mm.
MAINTENANCE: The box is manufactured from FSC certified wood and has a hinged lid for inspection or cleaning.
