Our winner is Sarah Armstrong, who's most memorable wildlife encounter was "Białowieża Forest - on a transect scanning for bats, super quiet, stood still, waiting for something to fly overhead. Heard a small rustle behind me, shone my torch over to that direction and wolves were moving through the trees. Froze solid, heart rate through the roof , they stopped , looked then kept moving. I was about 20 metres away and just kept still , so beautiful, so lucky."
