This class bug/pond kit creates a great class activity to have as it ensures that all the class have something to do and hold. In this kit there is a wide range of professional equipment but in children sizes, and at a reduced price. Net bags are attached using velcro and nets can easily be changed between dipping net bags and sweep net bags.
The kit contains:

Insect/pond Net
This low cost net is ideal for schools. It is lightweight enough for small children to handle but is constructed from the same material that we use for our professional nets.
It is supplied with two removable net bags, one for pond dipping and one for catching insects.
The wooden handle is 300mm long and 25mm in diameter making it comfortable and easy to grip for small hands. It also has a wrist strap. The net frame is 125mm wide and the net for insect catching is fine and lightweight polyester making it ideal for butterflies and other insects. The net for pond dipping is strong and also light weight polyester making it ideal for catching small fishes.
Sampling Tray
The Greenalyte plastic sampling trays are used extensively in schools, field study centers and for general lab work. They are great for sorting and identifying samples collected in bug hunting and pond dipping exercises.
Bug Viewer II
Large single bug viewer with two lenses giving either X2 or X4 magnification. Base has mm and inch rules for assisting with measuring insects. Great teaching aid for schools and study centers.
FSC Chart
These laminated fold-out guides from the Field Studies Council are renowned for their accuracy, clarity and robustness. They are ideal field guides as they take up very little room when folded, but contain an incredible amount of information, hints and tips; plus they are tough enough to cope with the rigors of children outdoors.
