The Song Meter SM4BAT FS is a full-spectrum ultrasonic bat recorder designed for static bat monitoring and long-term field deployment. It is suitable for professional bat surveys where reliable recording, flexible scheduling and extended battery life are required.
The recorder is housed in a compact, fully weatherproof polycarbonate enclosure and is designed for use with the low-noise, waterproof SMM-U2 microphone. Built-in fail-safe and fault-tolerant features include dual SD card slots for failover and internal diagnostics to support reliable data collection in the field.
The SM4BAT FS uses advanced triggering to record when bat activity is detected. Optional noise scrubbing can automatically remove false triggers that do not contain bat calls, helping reduce the time required for data review.
