The Beaumaris Midi WoodStone Bat Box in white is a compact façade-mounted bat box designed to provide roosting space in sunny or exposed locations. The white finish helps reduce the risk of overheating, making it suitable for warmer aspects where darker boxes may absorb excessive heat.
Constructed from durable WoodStone (a blend of FSC®-certified wood fibres and concrete) this bat box offers strength, insulation and long-term weather resistance. It is primarily intended for installation on building façades but may also be installed in trees where appropriate.

Suitable Species
Usage will depend on local distribution and habitat. As a summer or breeding roost, it may be suitable for:

- Brandt’s Bat
- Leisler’s Bat
- Brown Long-eared Bat
- Daubenton’s Bat
In mild winters, it may also be used by the Common Pipistrelle and Brown Long-eared Bat.
Siting Guidance
- Install at a minimum height of 3 metres
- Provide a clear flight path for access and exit
- Can face any wind direction
- Avoid positioning above doors and windows
- Do not install on illuminated façades or near artificial lighting
- Installing multiple boxes at varying heights and aspects is recommended
For installation, remove the front panel using the supplied Allen key. Fix the mounting bracket to the wall with the provided screws and plugs, position the box onto the bracket, then refit the front panel ensuring bolts are secure but not overtightened.
Maintenance
Boxes can be checked and cleaned once annually during winter, preferably during a frost period and only when unoccupied. A long-handled brush can be used to remove cobwebs or debris.
