Bird Brick House Integrated Bat Box - Bespoke Facing
This integrated, maintenance-free bat box is designed to be built directly into the external wall of a building, providing long-term roosting space for a wide range of UK bat species. Suitable for timber frame construction, it offers a discreet and durable way to incorporate bat habitat into new builds and renovation projects.
The box is suitable for many UK bat species and can accommodate up to 50 pipistrelles. It can be used for day roosting, hibernation and maternity roosting, depending on placement and aspect.
Construction & Installation
The standard version is supplied with brick slips bonded in stretcher bond, with other bond options available to suit different brickwork styles. A stainless steel mesh front option is also available for use in rendered walls, stonework or cladding. This flexibility allows the bat box to be integrated into a wide range of building types and finishes.
The box should be installed between 3 and 10 metres above ground level. For best uptake, boxes are often installed in small clusters and on a range of aspects, allowing bats to move around the building as conditions change through the seasons.
