The quickest way to test your bat detector microphone. The Microphone Tester Pulse can be used to test microphones of BATSCANNER and BATLOGGER devices. Due to its size, it is the ideal device to have always with you for a quick check ahead of your bat walk.
How to use the Microphone Tester Pulse:
Testing your detector is simple: just place the tester with the speaker directly in front of the microphone then press the 'BATLOGGER' or 'BATSCANNER' button, at which point the status LED will indicate that an ultrasound output is being produced. Finally, just check whether the test pulses are being recorded (Batlogger) or transformed into the audible range as expected (Batscanner).
