The Vivara Pro Granada Wall-Mounted Facade Bat Box is a slim, gable-style bat roost designed for installation directly onto building facades. It is particularly suitable for positioning under eaves, gutters, bridges or weirs, where crevice-dwelling bat species naturally seek sheltered roosting sites.
Finished in black, the box is designed to warm more quickly when installed in cooler or shaded locations. Multiple boxes can be mounted side by side to create extended horizontal roosting space, supporting greater roosting potential within a single structure.
Manufactured from durable WoodStone – a blend of 100% FSC-certified wood fibres and concrete – the Granada bat box offers a long service life and a textured internal surface for grip. A Z-hook fixing system is supplied for straightforward facade mounting, with an additional plug and screw for secure installation.

Installation Guidance
- Mount directly to a building facade using the supplied Z-hook
- Install at a minimum height of 3 metres
- Provide a clear flight path to and from the box
- Avoid positioning above windows and doors
- Do not install on illuminated facades or near artificial lighting
- Not suitable for installation on trees
- For enhanced roosting opportunities, install multiple boxes varying in height and aspect
Maintenance
The box can be cleaned once annually during winter, preferably during frost and only after confirming it is unoccupied. A long-handled brush can be used to remove cobwebs and debris.
