This is the eDNA analysis service only for Great Crested Newts, covering the analysis of 1 kit (6 sample tubes).
Turnaround options available: 10, 5, 2 or same-day results. Sample kits are not included and must be purchased separately.
How it works
1. Purchase your sampling kits from Wildcare. Our Great Crested Newt eDNA Collection Kit and Refill Kit are assembled to order in accordance with DEFRA WC1067 guidance and include everything required for field sampling.
2. Collect your samples. For results to be accepted by Natural England, sampling must take place between 15th April and 30th June. Positive results outside this period confirm presence, but negative results should be considered inconclusive. Sampling must be carried out by a licensed Great Crested Newt surveyor following DEFRA WC1067 methodology.
3. Purchase your chosen analysis turnaround and return your samples following the instructions provided with your kit.
