Pulsar Alaris XQ30 Thermal Imaging Monocular
A Compact Thermal Powerhouse
The Pulsar Alaris XQ30 is a compact and lightweight thermal imaging monocular designed for reliable wildlife detection in all weather conditions. Featuring a highly sensitive 384×288, 17µm thermal sensor with <20 mK sNETD, it delivers excellent thermal sensitivity, helping to detect subtle temperature differences in challenging environments.
Paired with a 30mm f1.2 germanium objective lens, the Alaris XQ30 offers a detection range of up to 1300 metres, providing clear thermal imagery both day and night — all within a device small enough to fit comfortably in a pocket or pack.
Wide Field of View
The Alaris XQ30 offers a 23.3 m field of view at 100 m, allowing efficient searching and scanning of open areas without excessive panning. This wider viewing window improves situational awareness while maintaining image detail.
High Thermal Sensitivity
With a <20 mK sNETD rating, the XQ30 is optimised for use in varying weather conditions, including rain, fog and high humidity. Three selectable sensitivity amplification levels, combined with Pulsar’s image processing algorithms and adjustable brightness and contrast, allow users to fine-tune performance to suit conditions.
Extended Observation
The Alaris XQ30 is powered by a replaceable and rechargeable Pulsar APS3 battery, providing up to 7 hours of operation on a single charge (depending on temperature and usage). The removable battery design allows quick replacement in the field for extended observation sessions.
USB Type-C fast charging ensures efficient recharging when required.
Built for Outdoor Use
Constructed from a durable magnesium alloy, the Alaris XQ30 is designed to withstand demanding field conditions. It is IPX7 rated for water resistance and operates in temperatures from -25°C to +40°C.
The ergonomic four-button layout is positioned for natural finger placement, enabling straightforward operation in low light.
8 Colour Palettes
The Alaris XQ30 features eight selectable colour palettes to optimise viewing for different tasks and conditions:
- White Hot, Black Hot and Red Hot – ideal for detection
- Rainbow and Ultramarine – assist with recognition and identification
- Red Monochrome, Sepia and Violet – suitable for prolonged night observation
Built-in Recording & Connectivity
Built-in still image capture and video recording with audio allow documentation of observations directly to the device’s 64GB internal memory.
Wi-Fi connectivity enables pairing with the Pulsar Wild Vision app (Android and iOS compatible), allowing:
- Remote control and real-time display on a mobile device
- Wireless transfer of images and video
- Firmware updates via the app
