As seen on Springwatch!
The Standard Echo Meter Touch 2 (USB-C) is a compact bat detector that connects directly to your smartphone or tablet, allowing you to listen to, visualise, and record ultrasonic bat calls in real time.
Turn your smartphone or tablet into an interactive bat detector. Simply plug the device into a compatible USB-C port and use the free Echo Meter Touch app to begin detecting bats. No data connection is required. The device converts ultrasonic bat calls into audible sound using Real-Time Expansion (RTE) technology, while also displaying echolocations as colour spectrograms on your screen.
Designed for ease of use, the Standard Echo Meter Touch 2 provides live feedback in the field, including suggested species identification through Bat Auto-ID, based on the recorded calls.
For a full comparison between the Standard and PRO models, view the Echo Meter Touch 2 Comparison Chart.

App & Functionality
The free Echo Meter Touch app (available from the Apple App store or Google Play) allows users to control recording settings, view spectrograms, and manage recordings. It supports multiple listening modes, including real-time expansion, heterodyne, and post-recording time expansion.
Bat Auto-ID classifiers are available for the United Kingdom and other regions, providing on-the-spot species suggestions along with images and additional information.
Compatibility
Requires an iOS or Android device with a USB-C port. iOS devices with a Lightning port are incompatible (even with an adapter). Android devices with a Micro-USB port require the use of an approved adapter.
A USB-C extender adapter is included with purchase to allow for use with phone/tablet cases.
