Genesis Swift Nest Box – Double Chamber

The Genesis Swift Nest Box - Double Chamber is designed for external installation on buildings, providing two separate nesting spaces for swifts. As swifts naturally nest in colonies, double chamber boxes are a practical option where multiple nesting spaces are required on the same elevation.

Genesis Swift Nest Boxes are made from ResCom® Cellular Magnesia Cement board, a durable material used in the building industry. The box is coated externally with cork insulating paint and can be painted with a suitable water-based paint to match the building if required.

• Supplied with an aluminium mounting bracket held onto the box with stainless fixings
• 4No 7.6mm diameter zinc yellow passivated masonry frame screws which are designed to screw directly into masonry eliminating the need for a wall plug. A 6mm diameter masonry drill and a TX30 screwdriver bit will be needed to use these. Drill the 6mm diameter hole to the required depth, and the masonry screws will wind in, cutting their own thread, using a T30/TX30 torx (star-shaped) bit on a battery drill/driver.

Siting & Installation

The box is designed to be mounted externally on a building. It should be installed at least 5 metres above ground level, with a clear flight path to and from the entrance. Avoid south-facing sites where possible.
