The Built-In WoodStone Bat Entrance Stone is designed to provide bats with safe access into a building or cavity wall. It creates a dedicated entry point for crevice-dwelling bat species that roost within structures, supporting bat conservation within new build and renovation projects.
The stone features a horizontal entrance slot measuring 2 cm high by 15 cm wide. The sloped lower surface helps bats enter the cavity and allows droppings to fall clear, meaning the unit does not require cleaning.
Manufactured entirely from WoodStone, a durable blend of FSC-certified wood fibres and concrete, the entrance stone offers a long service life. The rough external texture provides secure grip for bats as they access the cavity.

Installation Guidance
- Brick into the external façade to provide access to a cavity wall or roost space
- Install at multiple locations where possible, varying height and aspect
- Install at least 4 metres above ground level where feasible
- Avoid positioning directly above doors or windows
- Ensure a clear flight path and avoid artificial lighting
