Nest Boxes and Tubes

Nest tubes and footprint tunnels give a good indication of presence or likely absence of dormice in an area and are widely used by ecologists for professional dormouse surveys. We supply tubes and tunnels along with accessories for installation in suitable dormice habitat and replacement parts.

Dormouse footprint tracking tunnels are a newly approved method for dormouse surveying developed by the People's Trust for Endangered Species (PTES) which is effective and non-invasive. At Wildcare, we offer kits which include everything you need for long-term surveys, as well as refills and replacements. Wildcare donate 10p to PTES for every dormouse footprint tunnel sold.
